Matthew Perry and Molly Hurwitz End Engagement

Matthew Perry and Molly Hurwitz have broken up and ended their engagement.

On Tuesday, 1 June, the 51-year-old “Friends” actor released a statement to a US media outlet, in which he said: “Sometimes things just don’t work out and this is one of them. I wish Molly the best.”

Judging from the statement, it seems as if he and the 29-year-old literary manager parted ways on amicable terms. However, Perry has not yet commented further on the split, while Hurwitz’s Instagram account has been set to private.

The former couple first started dating in 2018. A year later, they were first spotted publicly together at a restaurant in West Hollywood, California.

In November 2020, they announced their engagement, with Perry calling Hurwitz the “greatest woman on the face of the planet” at the time.

The news of their engagement ending comes nearly a week after Perry appeared alongside his “Friends” co-stars for a televised reunion special.
